If we capture the voices and stories of those we lead and represent, we can be better servants - making more informed choices about how we teach and grow our students into citizens who will think critically and creatively about our future.
It starts and ends with our students, and how we create an environment where they are valued, respected, and able to take risks to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
I believe that it is important to understand the context and culture in which you find yourself before you attempt to create your goals, make a plan and make a change.
I believe that it is our duty and calling to provide all the children in our care with compassion, challenge and meaningful and rich learning. I believe we owe the adults in our charge the same.
I believe that it is important that we are students, life long learners, and give ourselves permission to continuously learn and fail forward. While this may sound counter intuitive, I believe this encourages us to put our students at the center of everything we do.
